Ishwarya Muthu | Inclusive interactive zones aiming to improve the quality of life in the ward by redefining how recreational experiences can be shared by a varied range of users.

Project description

Project idea

The primary idea behind the project is to create play areas that enable inclusivity amongst the different user groups in the ward.

Need for the project

Cities are designed to mostly improve efficiency and its residents have been sinking in the monotony of urban life with not much flexibility or space for recreation. Playgrounds are mostly designed for able-bodied kids from affluent neighborhoods. What about the disabled, the kids from poorer neighborhoods, the senior citizens, and the average adult? Why do they not get to play as easily?

Objective of the project

The project's objectives include designing flexible play spaces, providing accessibility to diverse user groups, incorporating multi-sensory experiences and redefining the traditional perception of 'play' in the community.
