Navya Roy | A recreational space that caters to the needs of residents while increasing spaces of interaction among different communities improving the quality of living.
Project description
Project idea
Creating a simple yet attractive recreational space which not only improves the condition of barren lands but also allows for better maintenance of surrounding areas. Introducing green zones also brings life to the ward and inculcates a sense of 'togetherness'.
Need for the project
Throughout the ward, green and open spaces are very few in number and those that are present are badly maintained. Barren land invites slum settlements and garbage dumping. Existing green lands are badly maintained and also become fear locales, due to no proper boundaries and maintenance. Treating existing open grounds and creating opportunities for recreational activities improve the quality of the ward while inculcating a sense of community.
Objective of the project
1) Treating barren lands.
2) Eradicating unofficial dumping grounds.
3) Creating more green cover throughout the ward.
4) Creating a community area for all user groups.
5) Improving conditions of surrounding areas.
6) Treating lakes and integrate it as a point of interest along with green buffer zones.
