Srishti Reddy | Redesigning the existing parks, playgrounds and streets to be colourful, inviting and safe, so that children have a place where they play, learn and socialise.

Project description

Project idea

The intervention focuses on redeveloping the existing parks and streets in the neighbourhood to ensure that they are pedestrian friendly, interactive and child-friendly and in the case of parks, more vibrant and welcoming.

Need for the project

The existing neighborhoods in the ward do not have enough parks and recreational spaces that are safe and accessible for children. The existing spaces are not well maintained and are not children friendly, The road networks connecting parks and playgrounds to residential spaces, public spaces and schools are not safe and children friendly either.

Objective of the project

Redesigning the existing parks and streets in the neighborhood to provide easier accessibility, safer environment, good pedestrian connectivity and encouraging a more social nature to the public spaces, which will lead to children using these spaces more.
