Divya Jyothi S | Streetscapes are a significant element of the community realm, which not only helps to define mobility but also states a communities well being .
Project description
Project idea
Safety and health, being the most important factor for any human being, is the key point to be addressed. Idea is to bring in more pedestrians and cyclists on the streets to engage by providing a good Public Realm space which attracts them as well as takes care of their safety.
Need for the project
The present conditions in every part of the ward does 'no' where focus upon pedestrian-friendly paths. Once each individual steps out of their houses, the first element we get attached to is to the streets, and that attachment comes when we have a good facilitated street, which is now been invaded by cars and solid wastes dumped on the footpaths, etc. To bring in more pedestrians activities, a pedestrian-friendly street is required.
Objective of the project
-Invites more pedestrians and cyclists.
-No vehicular traffic in pedestrian streets.
-Shared street with recreational activities.
-A calm and a healthy space for people to move around.
