Sricharan.S | Reclaiming the dead space to create a unique perception and better-shared spaces to unite the community and an enhanced public realm.

Project description

Project idea

The idea is to create a zone with multiple, relatable functions that support neighboring activities and also to design a space that is environmentally friendly also creating more potential for the people to unite with equal involvement. This, in turn, can become a great public space.

Need for project

Urban voids are neglected spaces and public spaces, due to the rise in the population and urbanization, there is a need for public spaces and green spaces within the city. This project helps to direct people for gathering at certain occasions and creates a better halting zone. Revitalization of spaces under flyovers resolves many issues that the ward is currently facing.

Objective of the project

The underutilized and dead spaces under the Flyovers are treated with design interest to create a human interactive space, providing a certain experience and solutions to the users. The use of a vertical garden with solar panels in a rhythmic concept helps to cleanse pollution.
