Sai Amrutha P | Designing the existing urban voids along the railway line, by converting fear locals into public friendly zones and thus forming connectivity between residential fabrics
Project description
Project idea
Idea is to transform the railway line buffer into a green belt with public recreational activities, taking into consideration – Air quality, biodiversity and a Safe & Healthy Environment for the residents around.
Need for the project
The reason for lack of connectivity is that each of the residential fabric functions on its own as the separation zone between them ( the railway line buffer and ORR) comprises of many defunct spaces, causing fear locals, many of which have become garbage dumping zones, leading to NO human engagement
Objective of the project
Forming urban connectivity
Creating a safe railway line buffer
Covert fear locals into human friendly zones
Introducing garbage dumping zones
Bringing in various public recreational activities
