Project description
Project idea
Lack of Food security is a major issue in cities and the connection of open spaces. The idea is to bring back the social and cultural life & metabolism on a neighborhood scale, a cyclic ecosystem in the neighborhood by creating a different typology of urban farming.
Need for the project
Lack of planned green belts, overcrowding The food security & demand. Improper waste management system. Fear locals, pollution of the environment leading to health impacts. Gentrification lack of connectivity and pedestrian access
Objective of the project
Meets daily demand of food products to some extent. It creates a cyclic ecosystem. Interactive public squares and sustainable environment.
Project site details

Site selection criteria
1. First criteria: The AECS layout has more open lands
2. Second criteria: The four square’s along a stretch of a road that meets up in the lake.
3. Third criteria: The squares act as breathing space of the densely packed neighborhood
4. Fourth criteria: Less vehicular movements, Abundance of vendors present on 60 ft road along the edge of the site as well.
5. Fifth criteria: Further the path connects the ORR & the nearby ward
Site details

Area of the site - 30145.47
Main access roads are ITPL main road, Kundanahalli road.
Key features are That natural topography provides a great opportunity for farming & pedestrian movements. The waste management unit which is not in use near the lake can be used. The proximity to the nursery schools around will have an impact on environmental classes. The lake and park which is adjacent to each other
