Saral Srinivas | The Lake can create a huge impact by providing a common ground for the daily essentials of the people while ensuring safe and green spaces for interaction and recreation.
Project description
Project idea
The idea was to provide wetlands that could clean the lake effectively and bring in people and increase biodiversity. Also provide educational services towards aquaculture, which can help in breeding and preserving various fish species.
Need for the project
The Doddanekundi Lake though is currently one of the bigger lakes in Bangalore, is not well maintained. Hence people from different age groups do not visit this lake. Its close proximity to residential houses and Apartments makes it ideal for a smart approach toward wetland cultivation, fisheries studies and recreation space. This also helps to bring about a sense of community among the people who otherwise only interact within their homes.
Objective of the project
The project aims to achieve a sense of community among the people by providing a common ground for interaction and recreation.
