Bansidhar K.S | The vision here is to break the barrier of separation between the community and the lake through an active site, bringing the communities together.
Project description
Project idea
The idea here is to set up an urban agricultural facility adjacent to the lake and on the north and east of the site, there are two local communities that can interact. The facility can bring together the lake and the two communities to form a sustainable ecosystem.
Need for the project
The doddanekkundi lake is polluted, the closest community towards the north of the lake is separated by a railway line that runs across making the place completely isolated. We need to break this 'barrier' of separation and activate that space. The local farmer travels 7km every day to get fresh produce for the customers, why not grow our own? We need to educate the local folk about sustainability and modern ways of agriculture.
Objective of the project
The facility will activate the space, connect the 2 communities (north, east) to the lake. The public will be directly connected to the lake as well as the neighboring communities. The public will be able to use the lake. These programs would then generate job opportunities and eventually income.
