Project idea
Redesigning the bus stop junctions by making use of the BRT system which already exists in the ward more effectively. By making the bus stops more eco friendly and lively by providing green spaces, E-Display boards, coffee carts, public toilets, etc.
Need for the project
With the rising population in the city, there is also a corresponding increase in the number of vehicles in the city and a huge increase in the demand for land. Whitefield area being demarcated as one of the traffic and accident-prone zone in the Bangalore city. Therefore, finding solutions to the transport system can promote the ward for sustainable economic development and a brighter, greener future.
Objective of the project
-To create and improve infrastructure for modern Bus Terminals.
-To enhance public spaces.
-To encourage people to a healthier lifestyle.
-To reduce the excessive use of motorized transportation.
Project site details

Site selection criteria
1. First criteria: Maximum traffic congestions in the ward happens here
2. Second criteria: Scope for developing the void space under the bridge effectively
3. Third criteria: IT parks and commercial zone present in the immediate context lead to maximum usage of the various transport systems.
Site details

Area of the site - 720sqm
Main access roads are Doddanekundi main road, Doddanekundi outer ring road, goshala road, ferns city road
Key features are IT sectors like bagmene, reliance, dell, zonasha, mphasis, etc and commercial buildings like soul space arena, sarovor portico, etc and school buildings like vigor and an urban village-doddanekundi, few gated communities are present at the context of the site
